I can't believe that another month has come and gone. God has really been blessing The Heritage Quartet. We have mat so many nice folks over the last several months and to know as Christians we will be able to spend an eternity together in Heaven. WOW, what a day that will be. I would like t thank those who book us and allow us to become apart of their fellowship of believers if not for that brief time we share during those special services. I would like to especially that Rev. Larry King for his hospitality. His church at Sandy Plains Methodist had us in for the whole day. They fed us and took care of us like we were kings. I would also like to thank the Master Car Club (a ministry out of Calvary Baptist Church, Rock Hill, SC) for allowing us to be apart of their vision of how reach the heiborhood where you live. It was a GREAT night and Pastor Reggie was right on target with his message that night. Well i have rambled on enough. I just you you people to know how much we appreciate you and the part you play in allowing us to do what we do. Thank You. Till next time. KJ |
You just never know who you might meet. The Heritage Quartet recently had the honor of singing at the Chesnee Gospel Music Center and it was there that I met a true American Hero. I noticed a gentleman with military pins on his lapel and I asked if he was a veteran. My son is a Seabee and my nephew is in the Marines so I have much respect for our military and I always want to take the time to thank our veterans who have fought so bravely for the freedom that we enjoy in this great country. The gentleman's name is William Jackson and he proudly began to tell me of how he served in the Korean Conflict. He showed me his hands that were injured from frost bite and told me of his feet that were even worse, however he did all this while beaming with pride for his service. I counted it a great honor to be sharing a conversation with such a Great American. American heroes are all around us and we should all learn a lesson of patriotism by taking the time to express to the ones who have stood for us in foreign lands our gratitude. Let us not forget that in this great country we are allowed to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ freely. But, this freedom comes with a price, freedom isn't free. Please remember to always pray for our military men and women who stand watch over us day and night and the next time you see a veteran or someone on active duty, shake their hand and say thanks, what a small price for such a great sacrifice. Love in Christ, Glenn Totherow |
